North Highland Attends Refuge Run

On March 25, runners and walkers from North Highland’s Atlanta office participated in the fifth annual 5K and 10K Refuge Run while supporting the City of Refuge, a local non-profit leading social transformation by empowering and equipping impoverished residents with the necessary tools to achieve economic empowerment through workforce development.

As part of the firm’s global cause, Economic Empowerment, the Social Impact Accelerator is North Highland’s Atlanta Philanthropic Pilot. This focused on disrupting the root causes of poverty through the partnership of social enterprises delivering workforce development to underemployed populations in Metro Atlanta. In partnership with our Social Impact Accelerator, the North Highland Refuge Run team contributed to the largest Refuge Run to-date, with 45 participants and raising $1,625 in donations.

The team enjoyed seeing the neighborhood they continue to help improve. Through our partnership with the City of Refuge, the North Highland team aims to contribute additional support through its volunteerism efforts by participating in future activities.
