North Highland Recognized By Consulting Magazine's Excellence in Social and Community Investment Awards

North Highland recently won a Social & Community Investment Award through Consulting Magazine for a project with the Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA). BGCA is an organization whose mission is to “enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” The Boys & Girls Club of America wanted to develop a program that provides quality education in the arts for its members. It brought North Highland in to help identify which metropolitan markets would be most receptive to a program like this. The Atlanta-based team created a strategy to determine which markets would be best to focus on, highlighting things like a club’s current capacity to support a high-quality arts program, the ability to implement the research-backed principles that come with a program like this, the club’s ability to employ good instructors to work with the kids and whether the club is located in a city or community with a strong existing arts presence.

Based on this strategy, the Boys & Girls Club of America secured the funding it needed to work on this project. The organization is currently working to develop this program in clubs around the country.

“Being honored with this award offers strong validation of something that I continually impress on my teams – our work has the potential to meaningfully impact the people around us for the better. We’re humbled to be recognized for our efforts to help our communities,” said Scott McGinnis, Principal Strategy Consultant.
