North Highland Announces Big Idea Winner

December 13, 2018 (ATLANTA) – Management consulting firm North Highland is excited to announce Datacanary.ai as the winner of the third annual firmwide Big Idea innovation competition. Datacanary.ai is a software platform developed by North Highland data & analytics consultants Matt Yates and Dan Kopp that is powered by artificial intelligence to help businesses maintain software and data integrity and detect issues in data before they become a major problem.

“We are excited to announce Datacanary.ai as this year’s Big Idea winner and look forward to seeing where the team will take this venture, as well as the opportunities this platform can unlock in the future,” said Dan Reardon, North Highland CEO. “The ideas brought forth by all participants are inspiring and it is clear to me that North Highlanders encompass creative, innovative, entrepreneurial energy."

After extensive reviews of all submissions by a group of expert panelists, Datacanary.ai was selected as the winner of this year’s competition. Datacanary.ai combines big thinking, market potential, a strong team and the ability to leverage and help North Highland’s client base.

Since 2016, The Big Idea competition challenges North Highland employees to submit an innovative idea, separate from the firm’s services and offerings. The contest gives employees an opportunity to not only explore their entrepreneurial side, but to also have a chance at winning funding and support from North Highland to turn their idea into a thriving business. To enter, contestants submitted a business plan and brief video articulating their Big Idea. From there, each entry was evaluated against a set list of criteria and a winner was determined.
