Updated February 27, 2026
The February 2026 update for NH360 Portfolio Insights 7 is packed with significant enhancements, including entity field dependencies, the new REST API, and custom fields for risks and issues.
Let’s review each of these updates.
Entity field dependencies
Entity field dependencies enable administrators to configure conditional logic for entity Fields forms directly within Settings. Using the new Dependencies view on the Configure entity form page, administrators can define dependencies that hide fields, disable fields, or filter available values in option set fields based on conditions evaluated against any entity attribute. Conditions are evaluated continuously as users interact with the form, with outcomes executed instantaneously to provide a dynamic, streamlined experience.
REST API
This release introduces a new REST API that enables faster, more flexible integrations with your existing business systems. Built on modern web standards, the REST API delivers significant performance improvements and opens new integration possibilities, from connecting with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and work management platforms to building AI-powered analytics and automation tools. The REST API works with any programming language or integration platform, making it easier for your technical teams to connect Portfolio Insights data with the tools your organization already uses.
Custom fields for risks and issues
This release introduces custom fields for risks and issues, allowing administrators to define new fields of various types to appear in risk registers or issue logs. In the Fields page of Settings, Risk and Issue now appear as available contexts, allowing administrators to define new fields of various types for either context. Currently, cost, date, flag, number, and text fields are supported, with support for people picker fields to be added in a future release.
Redesigned navigation panel
With this release, we are updating the navigation panel on the left side of the product to a new, streamlined layout. The new design improves accessibility and compatibility by using a fixed width, a single layer, and persistent labels. Navigation groups now open a menu popover on click. This change means the layout of the navigation panel is now fully consistent, making it more effective as a context anchor and more accessible to users of adaptive input devices and touchscreens.
To configure the new navigation panel, you can use the all-new Navigation links page in Settings.
Other improvements
This update includes various improvements and refinements that polish the product and improve the user experience.
- New intrinsic entity fields and an out-of-the-box Status form enable users to capture status report information with ratings and comments across several categories, with auto-summarized contextual information to support informed reporting.
- An all-new editor for entity Rich Text fields provides enhanced formatting capabilities with an improved user experience.
- The new Business Case report consolidates entity information into a comprehensive, printable format with eleven sections covering strategy alignment, financials, resources, milestones, relationships, risks, and issues to support business case documentation and decision-making.
- New “Role”, “Resource Owner”, and “Organizational Unit” filters in the Planned vs. Committed and Committed vs. Actual resource demand reports enable more targeted analysis, while repositioning Resource Field Option and Variance Threshold filters above the data table improves usability.
- In the Portfolio Analysis Overview report, bubble size now indicates ROI, with color-coded bubbles using theme colors and intelligent layering (smaller bubbles in front) to improve visibility when items overlap, plus a new legend for easier interpretation.
- Entity names now support 255 characters.
As always, various other fixes have been applied to this release, improving the application's performance, security, and consistency.
