AI Fellow, CSIS International Security Program

Di Cooke is a non-resident Fellow in the International Security Program at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. Her work examines AI risks and opportunities within the defence and intelligence domains, including the generative AI threat landscape, human-machine teaming dynamics, AI operationalization and AI-enabled nuclear escalation risks. Her research has informed UK and US governmental AI policy frameworks and guidance, national legislation and industry best practices and safeguarding.  Di is also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for the Study of Intelligence, at King’s College London, where she is completing her doctoral thesis in the War Studies Department.
