From the Field
Change is always in motion.
For better or worse, the teams you work with have a lot in common with the teams you root for when it comes to managing change.
A club overhauls its squad after a losing streak...
You restructure a team after a reorg.
A league introduces a rule that changes how the game is played...
New technology changes how your work gets done.
A club scrambles to fill seats when the wins stop coming...
You find new ways to drive growth when consumer interest wanes.
The main difference here (aside from the dress code) used to be pace. Change has always moved fast in sports. Now it moves fast everywhere. And that makes sports a useful testbed for things like behavioral change or technology adoption, and a lens worth borrowing when you're navigating similar pressures in your own organization.
