Updated July 16, 2026

The June 2026 update to NH360Portfolio Insights 7 introduces configurable dialogs for risks, issues, and custom log items; a new Percentage field data type; updated conditional formatting for Portfolios; and many other improvements.

Let’s review these updates.

Configurable dialogs for risks, issues, and custom log items. This update introduces the ability for administrators to configure the layout of the “Add/Edit item” dialog for all log types, including the built-in Risks and Issues log types.

    • In Settings, the log type configuration page now includes a Dialog tab with settings for the item type label and the dialog layout.
    • When a custom dialog layout is selected, a configurator enables administrators to define sections and arrange fields in columns within each section. Each section appears as a tab in the “Add/Edit item” dialog.

Percentage field data type. A new Percentage field data type is available for custom fields in Settings. Percentage values are entered and displayed with the % symbol, and support configurable decimal places. Percentage fields are fully supported throughout the application, including in Portfolios, Roadmaps, and Portfolio Analysis. In reporting, Percentage values are represented as decimals to enable more straightforward processing.

Updated conditional formatting for Portfolios. Conditional formatting rules in Portfolios have been updated to the NH360 Design System. Colors and icons now adapt to both light and dark modes and meet accessibility guidelines.

      • Color-based formatting rules now use a unified color that simultaneously defines the foreground and background, adapting automatically to light and dark mode. On upgrade, existing color-based rules are automatically mapped to the new scheme.
      • Icon-based formatting rules now use distinct shapes so that status indicators can be differentiated without relying on color, meeting accessibility guidelines. Icons use theme-aware colors for correct display in both light and dark modes.

Extensibility. This update includes several improvements to the public REST and OData APIs.

      • Financial categories (nodes) returned by the REST API include a property indicating whether each node is system-defined or custom.
      • The REST API supports reading, creating, updating, and deleting custom field values for financial entities.
      • The REST API cache management endpoint supports clearing cached data for enterprise financial types, financial templates, base capacity templates, time-phased rates, and field values.
      • The REST API financial values endpoint supports pagination and filtering.
      • The REST API supports managing milestone templates, with full create, read, update, and delete operations.
      • The REST API supports managing resource filters for custom fields, with full create, read, update, and delete operations.
      • The REST API supports reading lifecycle stages.
      • The REST API enterprise financial type endpoints include management of financial categories (nodes), with create, read, update, and delete operations.
      • The OData API for assessment answers includes a ModifiedDate column.

Other improvements. This update includes various improvements and refinements that polish the product and improve the user experience.

    • Lifecycle validations for manual stage transitions can check that an assessment score meets a specified minimum or maximum value.
    • A new “Submit entity to next lifecycle stage” permission controls which users can use the “Submit” button in the Lifecycle dialog to initiate a manual stage transition.
    • In the rich text editor for fields, dark mode support has been improved: Highlight and text colors adapt correctly, and hyperlinks use the application’s brand theme color for improved legibility.
    • New instances no longer include the Department resource field. On upgrade, the Department field is converted to a custom field, preserving all existing data.
    • The Set Entity Field Value lifecycle stage transition action sets date fields to the current date and time when the transition executes.
    • Multiple option set values can be added at once by pasting a range of values from a spreadsheet into the option set configuration page.
    • Page titles on the Home, Approvals, Settings, Strategy, and Portfolio Analysis pages have been replaced with breadcrumbs, consistent with the navigation pattern used throughout the application. Portfolio report page titles have been resized accordingly.
    • The Overall status field shows “Troubled” when both “At risk” and “Troubled” indicators are present and allows “On track” status to be reported when some but not all status fields are populated.
    • Lifecycle stage transitions complete reliably when the stages have different default display year settings for financial types.
    • When saving changes to an option set value referenced in a form field dependency, the save response includes details about the affected form dependencies.
    • Case-only changes to field names and option set values are reflected in reporting.
    • Milestone date column labels and status values are capitalized correctly.
    • Hyperlink field values in Portfolios tooltips are readable.
    • When the Lifecycle Stage field is referenced in a field dependency condition with the “Equals” condition type, option set fields correctly filter their available values, consistent with the behavior of the “Contains” condition type.
    • Resource integration correctly imports assignment values to financial data when the allocation center mapping is not populated, provided the stage settings do not require allocation centers.
    • Fields from parent entity types are available when configuring group-by options in Roadmaps, both in the configuration wizard and in the Group by and Then by menus when viewing a roadmap.
    • In the Milestones grid, date changes are correctly detected and the Save button is activated when the day and month components of a date are transposed.
