Updated June 27, 2026

The June 2026 update to NH360 Portfolio Insights 7 introduces the new Resources page, enhanced portfolio and view configuration in Portfolios, and many other improvements.

Let’s review these updates.

New Resources page

This update replaces the legacy resource pool with the all-new Resources page. The Resources page is the new home for viewing and editing resources in NH360 Portfolio Insights, and it will serve as the foundation for future enhancements that will enable viewing and editing time-phased resource allocations across entities. The Resources page is accessible from a new out-of-the-box navigation link, making it available to resource managers who do not have access to Settings.

  • The Resources page supports fully configurable views. Administrators can define multiple views, each with its own configuration and access policy.
  • Resources views can be configured with selected columns (including order, custom labels, and default widths), row grouping, conditional formatting, and filters.
  • End users can personalize the views by showing, hiding, or reordering columns in the current view; changing the grouping; and applying their own filters.
  • The user experience for managing resources is improved, with new, full-page experiences for creating resources, editing resources individually or in bulk, and setting resource rates.

Enhanced portfolio and view configuration in Portfolios

This update introduces significant enhancements to the configuration of Portfolios, giving administrators much more control over portfolios and portfolio views.

  • A new Manage portfolios page provides a consistent experience for creating, editing, deleting, and reordering portfolios.
  • Administrators can define which entities belong to a portfolio with filters based on entity types, entity fields, and parent entity relationships. The Portfolios page combines these filters with view-level filters, maximizing flexibility while keeping configuration simple.
  • When creating or editing a view, administrators directly specify in which portfolios it should appear.
  • The Portfolios page shows only the portfolios and views to which the user has access.

Extensibility

This update includes several improvements to the public REST API.

The REST API includes v2 endpoints across the assignments, financials, milestone dependencies, and allocation centers controllers that return a named property alongside the queue item GUID in their responses.

  • A new Snapshots controller delivers new endpoints for creating snapshots, deleting snapshots, and reading data included in snapshots.
  • New endpoints enable CRUD operations for configuring various system settings, including global templates, entity types, snapshot templates, assessments, assessment question answers, and custom field definitions.
  • Endpoints to update entity field values of type Flag accept both Boolean and string values.
  • When creating or updating entity relationships, the Description field is optional.

Other improvements

This update includes various improvements and refinements that polish the product and improve the user experience.

  • Customers with their own Power BI capacities and appropriate user licenses can embed custom reports within Portfolio Report Pages.
  • Timeline roadmaps can filter which milestones are displayed.
  • Complex filter expressions in Portfolio Analysis, Roadmaps, and across Settings are evaluated correctly and consistently with those in Portfolios, with the And operator taking precedence over the Or operator.
  • Portfolio Analysis, Portfolios, and Roadmaps support the new “Is one of” filter condition type for single-select fields, enabling a single filter condition to check whether values in a single field match one of multiple possible selections.
  • Administrators can configure view and edit permissions for individual financial dimensions for security groups and entity types. Users can configure view and edit permissions for each financial dimension in the context of an entity.
  • Administrators can configure the number of decimal places for currency and numeric fields on the Fields page in Settings.
  • Financial forms can be configured to include row totals, which display the sum of time-phased values visible in the current view.
  • New option sets can be created only with the Text data type, and the Option set input type cannot be selected for fields of incompatible data types.
  • The “Move up” and “Move down” commands in list-view grids support reordering multiple selected items simultaneously.
  • Board roadmaps support a configurable default column width, with options for one, two, or three cards per column.
  • The OData API includes views for snapshot risk field values and snapshot issue field values.
  • The SnapshotMilestones OData view includes the “Committed date” field.
  • The “Assigned to” field and multi-select custom Resource picker and User picker fields in Logs and registers forms support searching by email address.
  • The “Disable parent selection” setting can be enabled or disabled on existing Option set fields.
  • When security groups are synchronized with Entra ID, existing group memberships for the affected users continue to be correctly reflected in the UserProfiles OData view.
  • Milestone templates are applied when the entity’s start date is set, even after the entity is created.
  • Dependency condition values can include spaces when using the “Contains” condition type in field dependency configuration.
  • When the text of a parent value in an option set is updated, the change is reflected in all entity forms that have the value selected.
  • Demoting or promoting values in an option set saves correctly.
  • Committed dates in milestone grids validate correctly, regardless of the browser’s date format setting.
  • The Entity ID field populates correctly in automated lifecycle transition emails.
  • User accounts can be created with apostrophes in the login name, display name, and email address.

As always, various other fixes have been applied to this release, improving the application's performance, security, and consistency.
