Vice President of Government Relations Monesia Brown has been appointed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to the Tallahassee State College's District Board of Trustees. This appointment recognizes Monesia's extensive experience in public affairs, government relations, and education.
"The college has such an outstanding reputation in our community as well as nationally," Brown said. "I am thrilled to join the District Board of Trustees and help continue that legacy of excellence."
Brown's background includes serving on the Florida State Board of Education and holding leadership roles with Walmart and various community organizations. Her appointment to the TSC board further demonstrates her commitment to education and public service.

<p>Monesia “Mone” Taylor Brown serves as Vice President of Government Relations. Based out of the firm’s Tallahassee, Fla., office, Monesia leads the firm’s Government Relations strategy while driving growth for its Public Sector industry. Monesia brings more than 20 years of experience in state and local government public affairs strategy, emergency disaster response and recovery, corporate community investment, and managing corporate initiatives.</p><p>Most recently, Monesia served as Director of Public Affairs and Government Relations for Walmart Inc. Prior to her experience with Walmart, she served as the Director of the Agency for Workforce Innovation, Florida's labor agency, and worked for the State of Florida as General Counsel to the Department of Management Services and Director of Legislative Affairs and Chief Cabinet Aide to the Attorney General. </p>
