Updated September 16, 2025

The September 2025 update to NH360Portfolio Insights 7 introduces the new Issues view type to the Risks and issues form type, important updates to our out-of-the-box reports, and various new personalization and configuration options.

Let's explore these new features.

Issue logs

This update introduces the Issues view type to the Risks and issues form type, enabling users to manage initiatives' issue logs alongside their risk registers. As a second view on a form, users can switch instantly between the Risks and Issues views by clicking on the corresponding tab in the top bar.

Just like with risks, users can view and edit issues in bulk on the form for maximum speed or within a dialog to allow plenty of room for longer fields. Summary charts break down the issue log by category, status, and priority. Users have the same powerful options to select, order, and group by fields in the grid view and use the Filters menu to quickly and easily process long lists. Issues can be included in snapshots to show how they have been identified, tracked, and resolved over time. Finally, new OData views for issues enable reporting on issue data across entities both in their current state and as reflected in snapshots over time.

Updates to out-of-the-box reports

With this update, we have introduced three new portfolio-level resource demand reports: Resource Availability, Planned vs. Committed, and Committed vs. Actual.

With the Resource Availability report, resource managers can view the availability of resources by organization unit, role, or location, with conditional formatting to highlight overallocation.

The Planned vs. Committed report lets resource managers compare the current demand for resources with their committed allocations. Likewise, the Committed vs. Actual report lets resource managers compare resources' committed allocations with their actual utilization.

We have continued to refine our existing catalog of reports, as well. The Entity Status report now includes data from the new risk register, and we have added conditional formatting across the reporting catalog to turn users' attention to areas of concern and encourage appropriate action.

Other improvements

This update includes various improvements and refinements that polish the product and improve the user experience.

  • Email notifications can be configured to send during transitions between lifecycle stages.
  • Administrators can now order the views in Portfolios to refine the experience their users have on this essential page.
  • Within entity Metrics forms, users can now customize their own views by selecting, ordering, and grouping by fields.
  • There are new options to distinguish entity types with over thirty colors for entity type avatars.

As always, various other fixes have been applied to this release, improving the application's performance, security, and consistency.
